Lautaro Salgado Resumen
Nace en Montevideo, Uruguay, en julio de 1972 y vive sus primeros años entre el cosmopolita barrio obrero del Cerro montevideano y las luces del céntrico y violento Buenos Aires de los 70s. Artista visual y Gestor Cultural, diplomado en la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, vive actualmente entre el sur de Chile y Devon, en Inglaterra.
En los 90s comienza a desempeñarse como artista visual realizando diversas exposiciones de fotografía en Uruguay, hasta que siente la necesidad de incluir los relatos cortos, poesías y la poesía visual como formas de expresión, publicando en libros y revistas. Idea y edita la revista literaria y artística Vademécum junto a Gabriel Till (quién se desvincula tempranamente), trabaja en la Comisión Asesora Cultural del C.C. Florencio Sánchez en la capital uruguaya hasta que emigra a Chile. También antes de ello, toma clases en un taller literario impartido por Roy Berocay, y se vincula y recibe consejos en diferentes disciplinas visuales de los artistas Juan Ángel Italiano, Eduardo Acosta Bentos, Clemente Padín, con quienes también participa en diferentes eventos, exposiciones, publicaciones, etc.
En 2006/2007 realiza su primera incursión en el arte audiovisual con “Villa Cosmópolis”, un corto documental de unos 20 minutos, tributo a los inmigrantes que formaron el rico mestizaje cultural del Cerro.

LAUTARO SALGADO RESUME
Lautaro´s lived his early years between the working class neighborhood of Cerro of Montevideo and the lights of downtown Buenos Aires in violent 70s. Visual artist and diploma in cultural management from the P. Universidad Católica of Valparaíso, lives between southern Chile & Devon, England. In the 90s began to serve as a visual artist doing various photography exhibitions in Uruguay, until he felt the need to include short stories, poetry and visual poetry as forms of expression. Cocreated and edited the literary and artisitic Vademecum magazine with Gabriel Till (whom splited earlier) worked at the Cultural Advisory Committee of Centro Cultural Florencio Sánchez in the Uruguayan capital until he emigrated to Chile. Also , before this, took classes at writing workshop taught by Roy Berocay, and links to get advice on different disciplines of visual artist Juan Ángel Italiano, Eduardo Acosta Bentos, Clemente Padín, with whom he also participated in exhibitions, publications and more.
Lautaro's last great visual work in Uruguay, was "VILLA COSMOPOLIS", a short documentary, twenty minutes of tribute to the inmigrants who got the rich cultural mix in Montevideo's Cerro.
